Come, enjoy the comforts of our restored Federal-style home: the original heart of pine floors, gas fireplaces, high ceilings, front parlor and porch, rose and herb gardens.  Our full breakfast, featuring hot entrée, homemade jams and breakfast breads, fresh fruit and locally sourced ingredients, will start your day off right.

The Jackson Rose Bed and Breakfast is an 18th Century residence listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The home was built by the Lee family and served as Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson’s first headquarters during the Civil War.  While here, Jackson wrote lovingly to his wife about the fragrant rose climbing up to his second story room – thereafter referred to as the Jackson Rose – and of the “elegant mansion” with the “nice, green yard.”
