Black Bear Resort in Hampton, Northeast Tennessee is the perfect home base for your section hike or Vacation. Our location makes for some of the most scenic hiking on the Appalachian Trail A/T. We offer a variety of accommodations such as Cottages, Cabins, Bunkhouse, Camping sites.
We also have a Breakfast Cafe on site. (8am-11am)
We provide affordable shuttle services to many trail destinations, including drop off and pickup to Tri-Cities Airport TN or Asheville NC.
We also offer short term or long term parking. You can make us your starting point or better yet shuttle out to a starting point and hike back to us.

Our location is perfect for group get togethers. We have hosted many Family reunions, Church Groups, Youth Groups, Motorcycle Groups, Office get togethers, Wedding parties and college classes
Black Bear Resort is the a very popular home base for your section hike. We are located a short .4 walking distance from Dennis Cove Trailhead that enters the Appalachian Trail & Laurel Fork water fall. If you have time you can visit Coon Den falls also. We offer a variety of accommodations and provide shuttle services to many of the local trailheads, Gaps and popular hiking trails or other attractions like Trail Days in Damascus.
We also pick up and drop off to Tri cities Airport, Asheville Airport or the Johnson City Greyhound Bus terminal. You can make us your starting point or better yet shuttle out to a starting point and hike back to us. Call for our shuttle rates and drop off points.
