The Iron Horse Station is a landmark inn, restaurant, tavern, and shops located in the heart of Hot Springs, North Carolina, a historic mountain town situated directly on the Appalachian Trail. The Iron Horse Station has been renovated and extensively restored; transforming the Inn, Restaurant, Tavern, and Shops into a charming destination surrounded by the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains and the French Broad River.

Accommodations at Iron Horse Station feature fifteen welcoming guestrooms, each having its own private bathroom. Every guestroom contains comfortable new furnishings, handcrafted beds, and other amenities including Jacuzzi tubs, transom windows, original sky-wells, and mountain views.

The Restaurant and Tavern offers a friendly and casual dining experience. The Belle Of Hot Springs is an Historic Inn located in the small mountain Town of Hot Springs, North Carolina at the foothills of the Appalachian Trail. The Belle was built in 1924 as a residential home to house the young women who attended the Dorland-Bell School For Girls which is now the esteemed Warren Wilson College. The Belle was renovated in 2012 to meet historic standards and is now a lovey bed and breakfast and special event space.

The Creek House is located right on the bold mountain stream of Spring Creek. It is located just a 3 block walk to the Appalachian Trail which runs right through our town, and the house is an easy walking distance to all restaurants and shops. The water views are wonderful, and there is a hot tub located on the deck overlooking the water. There is a great sitting area on the deck as well as a lower deck with a gas grill. And the best swimming hole in town is at the bottom of your stairs! The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs.

The Hostel at Laughing Heart Lodge is located at the Appalachian Trail trailhead at the southern end of Hot Springs, NC. providing clean, comfortable, affordable lodging. It is the first building of any kind that hikers encounter as they hike north into Hot Springs. The hostel is just minutes from downtown Hot Springs and you can walk to it on the Appalachian Trail which in town is the main street.

Just a few minutes’ walk into downtown Hot Springs, NC and a one minute walk from the Appalachian Trail’s entry into Hot Springs, Little Bird Cabins offers convenient access to all of the best Hot Springs attractions while still remaining secluded and peaceful on a quiet street tucked into the woods.

The Inn, our dream, is a true log home bed and breakfast. Sitting on top of a knoll overlooking the Stecoah Gap. The 360 degree views are breathtaking. Less than a mile from the Appalachian Trail. Rooms are filled with primitive antique furniture along with several pieces faithfully hand-crafted by the innkeepers themselves. The pavilion is a great spot to host weddings.

Chelokee Cove Cabins, ChelokeeCoveCabins.com, are located in the mountains of western North Carolina, adjacent to the Nantahala National Forest. The cabins are located approximately two hours from Asheville and Pigeon Forge. You’ll drive the scenic Nantahala River Gorge whenever you enter or leave the property. Our ten acres abut the National Forest Service Wildlands and offers plenty of wild and natural beauty.

Each modern log cabin is located in a serene creekside location…just one mile from the Appalachian Trail and a twenty minute drive from the Nantahala Outdoor Center and other rafting outfitters. Each studio cabin has a comfy queen bed. Your comfort is important to us. We are lucky to have one of the best cleaning services to prepare your cabin for your stay.

Northwest Camp is a small, rustic cabin located on the northwest slope of Bear Mountain in Salisbury, CT. The cabin and surrounding land is owned by the Appalachian Mountain Club. Available for use year round by reservation only, NW Camp is managed and maintained entirely by volunteers. Rustic 1 ½ story log cabin, sleeping quarters upstairs, one room downstairs.  Woodstove, and picnic table. Built in 1951 from chestnut trees killed by blight.

$50 per person shuttle fee includes the following:

Eventually that path became a towpath for early settlers, farmers, travelers and their cows, horses and assorted other animals. Today, Route 7 and the Housatonic River take you to the Appalachian Trail, Lime Rock Raceway, Tanglewood and the historic summer homes and gardens of the wealthy in Lenox and Lee, Massachusetts to tour. Canoe, fly-fish or kayak the Housatonic River or walk its banks and trails.

In our twenty plus years of servicing hikers, the hiking community has evolved greatly and will continue to do so in the future. We have done our best to adapt our services and policies to meet or exceed the demands these changes have created. In order to meet these challenges we have made some adjustments to our services that will allow us to provide an even higher level of service to hikers now and in the future. The Hike Inn has always been the leader for other service providers to follow and we will make every effort to continue to do so.

We offer 4 private rooms with private baths and allow 1 or 2 hikers per room.

We invite you, friends & family to come and enjoy the camping, horseback riding, hiking, fishing and kayaking. Bring your tent, camper, hammock or stay in one of our 7 cabins! Our campground is located at the base of Holston Mountain, adjacent to Cherokee National Forest which offers miles of hiking/horseback riding trails overlooking the beautiful South Holston Lake. With renowned trout fishing on the famous South Holston River, as well as lake fishing, we offer the perfect place to stay to be in the middle of it all! We are also near Bristol Motor Speedway/Thunder Valley.

Step outside, breathe in some fresh Appalachian mountain air and get ready to enjoy the Nolichucky River in East Tennessee. We have cabins & camping spots for tents and RV’s within a short drive from both Asheville, NC, and the Tri-Cities areas. (Just follow I-26 towards Erwin and the rafting road signs will lead you here from exit 40.)

We share our home year-round with fellow mountain and river lovers and have been doing so for over 35 years. We are located just off the Appalachian Trail and at the “take-out” along the Nolichucky River Gorge, which surrounds us with gorgeous views at the base of Unaka Mountain.

Dennis Cove Campground is a secluded campground along Laurel Fork Creek at an elevation of 2,650 feet in Carter County. This remote developed campground is popular with those seeking a rustic experience. The altitude, creek side location and lush forest surroundings make Dennis Cove particularly desirable during hot summer months. With 15 campsites, Dennis Cove is a great option for a group to reserve the whole campground for retreats and other events. Dennis Cove Campground is currently closed for the season.
