The Iron Horse Station is a landmark inn, restaurant, tavern, and shops located in the heart of Hot Springs, North Carolina, a historic mountain town situated directly on the Appalachian Trail. The Restaurant and Tavern offers a friendly and casual dining experience. With a wide menu variety, a nice selection of beer and wine, a guest lounge with a fireplace, large screen TV and Wireless Internet, the Iron Horse Station is a memorable spot to eat, drink, and relax in a comfortable environment.

The Iron Horse Station provides the ambiance of a turn-of-the-century destination surrounded by a town rich in history and exquisite natural beauty. It is a perfect location to hike the Appalachian Trail, experience white water rafting on the French Broad River, indulge in the soothing natural hot spring baths, fly fish, or just revel in the splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Hostel at Laughing Heart Lodge is located at the Appalachian Trail trailhead at the southern end of Hot Springs, NC. providing clean, comfortable, affordable lodging. It is the first building of any kind that hikers encounter as they hike north into Hot Springs. The hostel is just minutes from downtown Hot Springs and you can walk to it on the Appalachian Trail which in town is the main street.

Appalachian Trail Thru Hikers can stay for $25/per person/per night.  Includes bed linens, towels, and a hot shower.  Hikers can purchase breakfast and dinner consisting of gourmet organic vegetarian meals (when available). Historic Sunnybank Inn has offered hospitality to AT hikers since 1948.  Staffed by former thru hikers, the Inn offers an extensive library, a well-equipped music room, movies/dvds, and free wifi.

The Creek House is located right on the bold mountain stream of Spring Creek. It is located just a 3 block walk to the Appalachian Trail which runs right through our town, and the house is an easy walking distance to all restaurants and shops. The water views are wonderful, and there is a hot tub located on the deck overlooking the water. There is a great sitting area on the deck as well as a lower deck with a gas grill. And the best swimming hole in town is at the bottom of your stairs! The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs.

The Belle was built in 1924 as a residential home to house the young women who attended the Dorland-Bell School For Girls which is now the esteemed Warren Wilson College.
